Darksiders 3 Confirmed With New Trailer

Darksiders 3 is currently in development and is scheduled to release sometime in 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The game is set to be an open-world action-adventure that includes a focus on exploration and environmental puzzles, and will continue the series’ staple hack and slash combat with new protagonist, Fury.

It’s set around the same time as the events of Darksiders 2, which was released almost five years ago, and will follow Fury’s quest to destroy unique physical versions of of the Seven Deadly Sins. Gunfire Games’ development team includes multiple ex-Vigil Games employees who worked on Darksiders and Darksiders 2, including the Game Director, Executive Producer, Technical Director, Lead Environment Artist, and more.

Since the studio’s formation in 2014, they’ve worked on titles including Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition and Chronos. Lars Wingefors, Co-Founder and Group CEO at THQ Nordic AB said, “After countless rumors, a major catalogue acquisition, and even a corporate re-brand, the team at THQ Nordic is thrilled to finally confirm plans for Darksiders III.”

The game is currently available for preorder on Amazon.

April’s Games For Gold Confirmed. Include Ryse, Walking Dead

I usually don’t post the Games With Gold until the beginning of the month but seeing as April’s games are already confirmed, I thought I’d treat everyone to a nice surprise.

The April lineup is one of the best in recent memory in my opinion. Ryse: Son of Rome will be free all month long on Xbox One. The other game on the console is The Walking Dead: Season Two, which includes all five episodes, which will go free from April 16 through May 15.

On the Xbox 360 side of things, Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be able to get a free copy of Darksiders from April 1-15 while Assassin’s Creed: Revelations will be free during the second half of the month, from April 16-30.

You can still pick up some of the March games. Heavy Weapon is free on Xbox 360, while Xbox One owners can download the multiplayer shooter Evolve and the horror game Layers of Fear.
