Red Dead Redemption 2 News Dropping Soon?

As I was watching the Super Bowl Sunday night, I knew that Nintendo, Xbox and PlayStation would get their promos in, but there was a certain game I was hoping to see a trailer or teaser for: Red Dead Redemption 2.

The only real news that we have gotten about the second installment for Rockstar Games Game Of The Year in 2011 is that it will be released in Fall of 2017. That is it. But according to the world wide web, new information about the game is coming on the 7th of February (..WAIT! THAT’S TODAY!). Nothing is confirmed yet but this could very well be true.

The owners of Rockstar Games are holding a meeting of investors today, which could mean that this is when information on RDR2 may be released according to Gaming Bolt. There may be some vital information on the game or even a trailer of the gameplay, but the companies will not be sharing a lot of details about the upcoming title.

Like I said in the beginning, there has been no set date for the games release, it looks like Rockstar is shooting for an October. When the game is released, this means that online support for Grand Theft Auto V will be halted to focus on RDR2 and, of course, Rockstars next project, Grand Theft Auto VI.

Pre-order cards will be available for sale rather soon at Target. There is huge speculation about the release date being possibly hinted at during this meeting of investors, but the companies are unusually tight lipped on details of the game.

Are you hoping for an announcement for RDR2 today?
